To celebrate the start of the season, Kiwi personalities reveal their favourite ways to spend winter.

Tamati Coffey,  Co-host of TV1 Saturday Breakfast :

Which New Zealand winter destinations do you visit often?

"Queenstown".

What draws you to that destination?

"During the winter, nowhere else does cold and stylish like they do. Plus, you get the rich jetsetters mixing with the backpackers and the travellers".

Josh Emett,  Chef and MasterChef NZ judge :

What NZ winter destinations do you visit often?

"Queenstown".

What draws you to that destination?

"The intenseness and diversity of the scenery and the environment, southern people ... something about them, it's also the perfect place to let your hair down and have a heap of fun".

Karen Walker,  Fashion designer :

Which New Zealand winter destinations do you visit often?

"Queenstown Lakes District".

What draws you to that destination?

The wonderful and luxurious places to stay – I especially love the Mill Creek which is one of Touch of Spice's fantastic properties. I also of course love the scenery, the climate, the food and wine.
