Thousands of locals and visitors have taken to the slopes around Queenstown today to enjoy superb spring skiing conditions and bluebird skies after some heavy snowfalls over the past week.
Since Friday, Coronet Peak ski area has been blanketed with 56cm of new snow, The Remarkables has received 80cm, and Cardrona Alpine Resort has topped up with an extra 25cm in the last 48 hours.
Much to the delight of locals and visitors, snow fell consistently in downtown Queenstown on Wednesday, transforming the resort back into a winter wonderland.
