With the launch of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in New Zealand this week there has been plenty of talk surrounding the locations used in all the films set in Middle-earth.

Queenstown and the surrounding region is well-known for it's stunning landscapes so it's no wonder many international movies are filmed in the area. If you're a fan of J.R.R Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings Trilogy' and 'The Hobbit' the Queenstown region will have a special significance as you step into the same scenery you see in the film adaptions.

With all the excitement surrounding the release of the first installment of The Hobbit movies there's plenty of supporting video being released that will give fans an idea around the behind the scenes of filming and the locations used in the movies.
