Winter in Queenstown

Surrounded by snow capped mountains, a crystal clear lake and the bluest of skies, you'll love winter here - it's truly breathtaking! Days can be filled with skiing, snowboarding, tubing or snowshoeing and winter events. Wrap up warmly with plenty of layers - daily temperatures range between -2oC and 8oC.

Spring in Queenstown

Spring skiing, mountain biking, hiking or just relaxing - Queenstown in spring is a time for fun and rejuvenation. The sun hangs around from early morning until 7pm or 8pm, thawing winter’s touch with daytime temperatures ranging between 8oC and 22oC.

Summer in Queenstown

Summer days in Queenstown are long and leisurely. The mid-summer sun rises as early as 5am and dusk rolls in around 10pm, so you'll have plenty of daylight hours to explore. Daytime temperatures range between 20oC and 30oC, making Queenstown your perfect summer playground.

Autumn in Queenstown

Fantastic settled weather and a spectacular backdrop of golds and reds light up our region in autumn. The days begin to get shorter, with around 10 hours of daylight. Temperatures between 12oC and 25oC let you enjoy all of Queenstown’s outdoor activities before a long, cosy evening in front of the fire.
