In autumns it is still warm enough to enjoy most of our region's summer pursuits, but with the addition of the vibrant autumn foliage

  • Mountain biking or hiking are excellent options in autumn. The season’s light and colours make every trail sensational, while the cooler temperatures offer a welcome change from the hot summer sun
     
  • A round of golf in Queenstown could be your ideal way to spend the day. Choose from one of six scenic golf courses, including several internationally renowned competition courses
     
  • Our vineyards and wineries are particularly picturesque in autumn, and well worth a visit. Enjoy a wine tasting tour and a long lunch at one of the many gourmet winery restaurants

There’s a lively and local event to entertain everyone in autumn. Arrowtown’s Autumn Festival is a seasonal highlight for the whole family, couples and friends flock to the Gibbston Valley Harvest Festival to try out local food and wine.
