Event criteria

As a travel website, we aim to list events which will appeal to visitors planning a trip to the region, or events that visitors can enjoy whilst in Queenstown. To be listed, an event must also be open to the public to attend and your event submission should be accompanied by at least one photograph or logo. 

Deals, specials and ongoing promotional events for businesses are not considered ‘events’. If an event doesn’t meet these criteria or our Administrator feels it is not suitable, Destination Queenstown reserves the right not to list an event, and the event organiser will be notified if this is the case.

For information on hosting a convention or trade event, please email the Destination Queenstown Convention Bureau with your query.
