The Routeburn Track Day walk with Ultimate Hikes is ideal for people with less time to hike one of New Zealand's famous walking tracks. Let us take care of your day. Meeting at your accommodation in Queenstown, we’ll drive along the picturesque Queenstown-Glenorchy Road beside Lake Wakatipu to the Routeburn Track in the Mount Aspiring National Park.
Set off with your guide on a leisurely 6.5km walk up the wide and smooth track to Routeburn Flats. Here, you, your group and your guide will decide to either rest by the river and have lunch in the alpine meadows; or continue up to Routeburn Falls Lodge for lunch. The walk is a little steeper but the views make it worthwhile. The full distance to Routeburn Falls lodge is 10km.

This guided day walk is the perfect way to see the beauty of New Zealand’s epic landscapes in a safe and convenient way with knowledgeable guides to point out native plants and birdlife and give you a real insight into the history and geology of this fascinating area.
