Local hot tip
Mel Chui, local restauranteur -
"There's so many local events that pop up in Queenstown during the summer it's worth checking what's happening in the local papers and online event listings when you arrive. The Glenorchy races and the Pub Charity Rugby Seven's are my pick for getting amongst it with the locals in January."
