Spring activities
During spring, our alpine region is full of action and adventure.
- Skiing and snowboarding in spring is fantastic fun for all the family - enjoy the laid back atmosphere and warmer weather on the mountains.
- Lunch at a winery restaurant is one of the season's (and our locals'!) most popular pastimes, and there are plenty to choose from. Taking a picnic by the lake edge is heaps of fun for a romantic day out, or get together with friends.
- Unwind at one of Queenstown’s beauty spas, or indulge in some serious retail therapy.
- A network of walking and biking trails provide access to Queenstown’s beautiful backcountry and awe-inspiring scenery, while fishing and golf offer a breath of fresh air and a touch of exercise.
- Rivers swell in spring, making rafting and jetboating escapades an exciting complement to other extreme adventures like bungy jumping and 4WD adventures.
Spring events
In spring, our region proudly hosts numerous artistic, cultural and sporting events. An annual highlight is the Jazz Festival, attracting an international line-up of musicians and music lovers from around the country.
