Queenstown Tourism Experience and Sentiment

These reports detail regional visitor experience and sentiment metrics. Sources used include Destination Think's Tourism Sentiment Index tool and the Queenstown Visitor Insights Programme (DQ’s research initiative conducted by Angus & Associates).  

For optimal viewing and navigation of the report click the "open in full-screen mode" button in the bottom right hand of the visualisation ((full screen icon)). To navigate to the different pages of the interactive report, click the arrow buttons located at the bottom middle of the report (PowerBI Arrows). These visualisation are best viewed on a larger format screen like a tablet or computer.

Queenstown Visitor Experience Survey

The Visitor Experience Survey (part of the Visitor Insights programme) is an on-the-ground visitor survey and DQ’s own research initiative. The results are published quarterly and outline visitor expectations, reasons to visit, length of stay, activities/attractions and satisfaction. The report is divided into domestic, Australian and other international markets when relevant.

Tourism Sentiment Index Rankings Report

The Tourism Sentiment Index (TSI)  Rankings Report allows DQ to easily articulate the value and strengths of our destination’s brand by looking at how its performance compares to others around the world. The results are published quarterly and outline overall destination performance, comparisons locally, nationally and globally and identify destination drivers.
