These reports detail visitor experience and sentiment metrics related to the Queenstown region. The sources used include DestinationThink!'s Tourism Sentiment Index tool and the Queenstown Visitor Insights Programme  (DQ’s own research initiative conducted by Angus & Associates).  

Queenstown Visitor Experience Survey

The Visitor Experience Survey (part of the Visitor Insights programme) is an on-the-ground visitor survey and DQ’s own research initiative. The results are published quarterly and outline visitor expectations, reasons to visit, length of stay, activities/attractions and satisfaction. The report is divided into domestic, Australian and other international markets when relevant.

Tourism Sentiment Index Score

The Tourism Sentiment Index (TSI) measures a destination’s ability to generate positive word of mouth. It is an aggregate score derived from the tone of online conversations relating to visitors’ tourism experiences in a destination. TSI can range from -100 to +100 (lowest to highest performance).

The data sets, insights, and related resources have been created for use by Destination Queenstown and its membership base only. They are not for publication or dissemination without consulting Destination Queenstown prior.
