Pūheke ("to flow") is a new solo work by Louise Pōtiki Bryant emerging out of her personal journey towards healing from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) / Māuiui whakaauau. Join us for an immersive experience of image, music and solo dance performance by this Ngāi Tahu choreographer and Arts Foundation Laureate.

In this new work, Bryant weaves together animations, filmed dance movement and her own live performance to express a personal journey of healing and transformation. Through mindful illustration and movement tools inspired by the movement of water and atua wāhine (female deities / ancestors), Pūheke - meaning to flow -  is an expression of Louise’s mauri (life force) evolving and transforming over time.
