Welcome to the Whakatipu Wildlife Trust’s annual photo competition, all about our local native wildlife.
We want to see your very best shots of nature here in the Whakatipu basin, whether they are of native insects, fish, birds, lizards and bats OR of the introduced pests which prey on them.
We have categories for children and adults, and are looking for snaps of wildlife from all over the Southern Lakes area. From kea on the Routeburn to grebes in Lake Wanaka, we want to see your wildlife shots!
It is free to enter, and there are great prizes on offer from True South Flights, AJ Hackett Bungy, K Jet Queenstown, Skyline and Mercure
Entries open from the 1st of September 2024 and close on the 15th of October 2024.
Winners announced at the prizegiving on the 14th of November.
