New Zealands winter has started with one helluva party for the last 44 years, and with 2019 being the Real Journeys Queenstown Winter Festivals 45th birthday we are laying the celebrations on thick and fast.
March 12th marks our 100 day count down and all your old favourites remain but this year we turn up the volume to 11 with some rather large birthday plans. Get your polar plunge wings prepped for the icy Wakatipu during the MoreFM Day on the Bay, train your best friend to join in on the legendary 1.2km long Monteiths Dog Derby and set an alarm for April 16th as thats when our programme drops which is bursting with an epic music line up alongside some enviable events that celebrate and showcase our unique and beautiful wintery region.
The Real Journeys Queenstown Winter Festival 2019 will be the ultimate event to improve your Instagram feed. Banish the fomo and get yourself involved.
At our core, we celebrate Queenstown.
We are by Queenstowners, for Queenstowners and we showcase Queenstown, inviting visitors to come and celebrate our beautiful place with us.
The Real Journeys Queenstown Winter Festival reflects the diversity and vibrancy of our community. We showcase why we are so proud of our place and invite you to come and share that with us.
Starting back in 1975 with a few community events - including our pioneering Dog Derby - festival has evolved into a bucket list event in NZ - something everyone looks forward to in their annual calendar. We celebrate the Winter season starting in New Zealand and in our beautiful region by hosting events on mountain, on (and in) water, and around our CBD.
2018 saw over 45,000 people come to festival and boasts some impressive news coverage (even though our new baby Neve arrived over Winter Festival)
We encourage everyone to participate in our celebration and be part of the action!
We’re so glad you this!
