The Riverboarding World Championship is the international competition for the sport of riverboarding. It includes the disciplines of Slalom, Boardercross, Freestyle Surfing, and Endurocross.
The first event was hosted in Indonesia in November 2013 with more than 60 riverboarders representing 10 different countries. The next event was in Guatemala in 2015. Regional and National competitions directed by entities in those countries will take place annually, with the international world championship event currently organised every 2 years.
The third Riverboarding World Championships will be in Queenstown from 21-26 October, held on the Kawarau River at Roaring Meg Powerstation.
We expect 100 of the best athletes from around the globe.
