Media Training: On-camera Interview Skills and Working with Media to Tell Your Story
This interactive workshop with on-camera interview practice is a unique opportunity to step in front of the camera to learn and build confidence for real-world media engagements. It will equip you to confidently navigate media interviews across TV, radio, press, social platforms, including how to effectively communicate regenerative tourism messaging and/or tell your unique tourism story. You'll receive expert tips on authentically sharing your story; collaborating with media to promote it, and handling challenges when things don't go as planned. The session is led by Tsehai Tiffin, an experienced ex-news and current affairs journalist and producer (One News, Australia Correspondent, Sunday, Campbell Live, Close Up, and Holmes) and Mike McLeod, former TVNZ news producer, cameraman and editor.
This session builds on the highly acclaimed workshop from May 2024. While it covers the same core concepts, it offers attendees—new and returning—a valuable opportunity for additional on-camera practice and further skill refinement.
