EMBARK ON A FULL DAY JOURNEY TO THE WORLD-RENOWNED MOUNT COOK NATIONAL PARK

Beginning your adventure with a scenic drive through the rugged Kawarau Gorge, sit back and enjoy the constantly-evolving landscapes through Lindis Pass. From comfort of your own private Mercedes vehicle you won’t miss any photo opportunity; with the flexibility to stop, jump out of the car and breathe in the crisp mountain air at your pleasure.

Making our way to the renowned Clay Cliffs of Omarama, where tall pinnacles were carved by ancient glaciers over a million years ago, we briefly explore the canyon on foot. From the ground you can really admire the pastel colours of these flute-shaped columns.

Next we discover picturesque Lake Pukaki, a glacial lake famed for its milky turquoise colour, before arriving at spectacular Aoraki/Mount Cook.

Aoraki means Cloud Piercer and it’s peak reaches 3,724 metres (12,218 feet), making it New Zealand’s highest mountain. Upon arriving we stop for lunch, personalised to your taste. Options include The Hermitage hotel in Mount Cook Village, charming local cafés and luxury helicopter or cruise experiences.

During the warmer months (October to April), we can take a short scenic hike into Hooker Valley and visit the Tasman Glacier’s terminal lake. Soak up the views in this untouched, awe-inspiring landscape of the Southern Alps, including towering Aoraki/Mount Cook and shimmering glaciers.

Option to visit an eco-sustainable salmon farm in Twizel to sample their renowned high-quality King Salmon before heading back towards Queenstown.

Our local guides love being able to tailor each tour to suit your interests, tastes and abilities. Contact us to customise your Aoraki/Mount Cook Tour and make your Queenstown adventure truly remarkable.
