Nestled under the Ramada Hotel Queenstown near Remarkables Park is Frank’s Eatery. Known by regulars as ‘Frank’s’, the family-run café has a range of breakfast and lunch options made from free range and locally sourced ingredients as well as good coffee and a wide selection of cabinet food.

2. Jack’s Point Restaurant

Surrounded by mountains and overlooking its very own golf course and Lake Tewa, Jack’s Point Restaurant is a sanctuary of its own. 

Located only 25 minutes from The Remarkables Ski Area and close to a selection of walking and biking trails, Jack’s Point Restaurant is a well-situated breakfast spot no matter the season with golfing, biking, hiking or skiing on your doorstep. A popular choice for diners is Jack's shared breakfast which can be served for two or more people and includes a range of breakfast items.

3. Botswana Butchery

Located in Queenstown’s historic Archer’s Cottage overlooking Queenstown Bay, Botswana Butchery has been a popular location for lunch and dinner in Queenstown since it opened in 2008. Recently, Botswana Butchery launched a new brunch menu offering from 8am-11:30am daily.

Snuggle up by the fire with a stack of pancakes or freshly cooked eggs and one of their popular breakfast cocktails, or sit outside in the fresh air and take in the stunning views. 

4. Yonder

Yonder is situated on Church Street in central Queenstown, a short walk from Queenstown Bay as well as the nearby art galleries and boutique shopping in Queenstown's CBD.

Yonder is a great option for those who have any special dietary requirements as their menu is designed to cater for vegetarians, vegans, and people who are gluten or dairy intolerant. They make good coffee and you can enjoy their outdoor area at all times of the year with their heated outside seating.

5. The Boat Shed Café

The Boat Shed Cafe & Bistro is set in the restored, historic New Zealand Railways Shipping Office, and now sits on the very edge of Lake Whakatipu near the Frankton Marina.

Situated about as close to the lake as you can get without actually dipping your toes into it, The Boat Shed Café has a range of breakfast and lunch dishes available from 8am-3pm daily, as well as great coffee. Sit outside on the large deck and listen to the lake lap at the shore, or snuggle up inside near the fireplace and admire the view over Lake Whakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range.

6. Vudu Café & Larder

Located in the heart of Queenstown, Vudu Café & Larder overlooks Lake Whakatipu on one side of the cafe and Rees Street on the other,.

The menu includes a range of healthy breakfast and lunch options available from 7:30am-4pm daily. However, once you're at the cafe it can be difficult to go pass the cabinet food selection, especially the sweet treats which include mutiple vegan, gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free options.

7. Bespoke Kitchen

Sister café to Vudu Café & Larder, Bespoke Kitchen also pride themselves on their healthy menu and incredible cabinet food which is similar in selection to Vudu but with each cafe having their own different a la carte menus. 

Situated at the base of Bob’s Peak, a five-minute walk from central Queenstown and overlooking Queenstown Bay and The Remarkables, Bespoke Kitchen is a great spot for a casual brunch before heading up to the Skyline Gondola for sightseeing or luging, or a relaxing spot to catch up with friends.

8. Joe’s Garage

Joe’s Garage first opened in an old Post Office sorting room in Queenstown in 2000 and now has locations across the country. Joe's Garage Five Mile is the ideal spot to chill by the outdoor fireplace and take in the views of The Remarkables mountain range with a strong coffee or meal from their Breakfast or Lunch menu. 

Located in Frankton, Joe's Garage is an easy drop in en route to The Remarkables Ski Field, Arrowtown, Gibbston, or before checking out the local retail stores at Five Mile, Queenstown Central or Remarkables Park Town Centre nearby.  

9. The Dishery

The Dishery is located in historic Arrowtown, a 20-minute drive from central Queenstown. They serve a delicious all-day menu for breakfast, brunch and lunch which features locally-sourced and sustainable fresh food, cocktails and wine

A lovely spot to start your day of exploring all that Arrowtown has to offer, with boutique stores, art galleries, hikes and biking trails on your doorstep.

10. Ivy & Lola’s Kitchen & Bar

Located on Queenstown’s waterfront near the Steamer Wharf, Ivy & Lola’s Kitchen & Bar is a popular spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the lake.

Sit outside and soak up the sunshine and incredible views or enjoy the quirky interiors by the open fireplace inside.
