What’s new at The Remarkables and Coronet Peak

The Remarkables has the new Sugar Bowl Express chairlift fully operational for the 2021 season, making it faster and easier to access two brand new trails from the top of Sugar Bowl Express: Nakahi and Serpentine. The Sugar Bowl development has also widened and lengthened the trails, providing more terrain to explore this winter. 

Keep your eye out this season for a new Montana Twister ski tuning robot at Coronet Peak this winter, on hand to ensure rental equipment will be in the very best condition. You'll also find a new ‘self-serve’ area Coronet Peak's base building for those who want to bring a picnic up the mountain.

Coronet Peak is also bringing back an epic line up of events for winter 2021 including Night Ski, which will be running every Wednesday, Friday and select Saturday nights from 30 June - 27 August, and the famous Dog Derby in August.

Cardrona Alpine Resort is bringing an incredible amount of new terrain this season with the brand new Willows Quad chair, opening up an extra 65 hectares of snow. Their new free mountain shuttle will get you from A to B in no time, doing all the hard work for you. 

Take your skills to the next level on Treble Cone's expansive terrain this winter without having to worry about the car park. Treble Cone will also be offering a free mountain shuttle this season, so kick off the boots and relax until it's time to ride.

No trip to Queenstown is complete without a hearty feed or drink in one of the new additions to Queenstown's après scene.

For family-friendly eats located near the base of The Remarkables, head to The Crown Pub and Beer Garden. The kids playroom, local wine and beer, and delicious Sunday roast makes this spot perfect for the whole family.

Long term local Pedro’s has opened a new tapas restaurant at a lakeside location in downtown Queenstown. Pedro's By The Lake pairs iconic views with Pedro’s iconic dishes, serving up sizzling garlic prawns, calamari, paella, and of course Pedro’s famous lamb.
