Skippers is one gnarly drive but such a scenic and historic gorge After work on Saturday I drove out and was lucky enough to have the entire area to myself. Was such a beautiful day to wonder around down here - total Lord of The Rings country. Literally Further down the river is where Peter Jackson shot the Ford of Bruinen from The Fellowship of The Ring the Ford in which Arwen Liv Tyler conjures a flood to wipe out the Nazgl who had chased her on horseback through the plains. Pretty cool spot
