The ski season runs from June to October. With direct flights from Australia and New Zealand’s main ports into Queenstown, getting here is easy and you can be up the mountain or in our vibrant town centre in a matter of minutes.
Choose from a range of ski passes including single day, single ski area passes to season passes allowing unlimited access to multiple Queenstown ski fields. Mountain transport is available daily and snowboard and ski gear can be hired downtown, on-mountain or delivered to your accommodation. Or for the ultimate convenience, choose a ski package which includes ski passes, gear hire, transport all in one!

Beginners can enjoy a friendly atmosphere and lessons to quickly conquer the mountain at all of our ski resorts. With expansive learner areas and great beginner packages for all ages and capabilities, you’ll be shredding in no time.
Intermediate & Advanced
Explore advanced trails inbounds or venture into the backcountry in the ultimate Southern Alps expedition. Queenstown’s ski fields offer great on-piste and open rolling off-piste terrain as well as being home to the longest vertical rise in the Southern Lakes.
Looking for a challenge? Queenstown offers an incredible range of terrain for expert skiers. Take the Shadow Basin chair at The Remarkables and hike up to the finger chutes of Escalator and Elevator for some of New Zealand’s finest black runs, or tackle the legendary back bowls of Coronet Peak. Or for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, embark on a heli-ski adventure on untracked alpine terrain on towering mountains.
If you like to ride park and pipe, we’ve got you covered. Cardrona has some of the most extensive terrain park facilities in the Southern Hemisphere with four terrain parks, two half pipes and a gravity-cross course. Coronet Peak has two on-mountain terrain parks and The Remarkables has one of only six Burton-designed Stashes in the world!
