Queenstown Events

Queenstown’s calendar is packed with events and festivals all year round.

You’ll find great events in Queenstown every season, all set amongst a spectacular lake and alpine backdrop.

The Queenstown Winter Festival kicks off with a bang in June every year to celebrate the arrival of winter. Throughout the season you’ll find world-class film festivals, ski and snowboard events including the biennial New Zealand Winter Games as well as entertainment on and off the mountain.

When spring and summer arrive so do the outdoor concerts featuring local and international acts, competitive sporting events, markets, family events, and New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Red and gold takeover the landscape in autumn and nearby Arrowtown celebrates with the ten-day Arrowtown Autumn Festival as well as the Motatapu off-road event.

Many events are free, most are family-friendly and all are memorable.
