High-Country Heli Wine Tasting Experience

Alpine Luxury Tours has exclusively partnered with Mt Rosa Wines to create this authentic experience where you can taste the region’s finest wines while perched amongst outstanding alpine high country in one of the most remote and scenic wine growing regions in the world. Your adventure begins as we transport you to Queenstown Airport to board your privately chartered helicopter and ascend over beautiful Gibbston Valley to Mt Rosa Wines. We touch down to collect Mt Rosa Wines owner Guy Boanas who will personally take you through the wine tasting. Returning to the air, we soar above the rugged Kawarau Gorge with views as far as Mount Cook in the north and the Nevis Mountain Range to the south, to land on top of Lowburn Station.

Located on the breathtaking Pisa Range, the station is a picturesque 5,000ha family working farm with sheep, cattle and alpacas, boasting sweeping views across Lake Dunstan, Cromwell and Bannockburn wine regions.Guy will take you on a wine tasting journey of five Mt Rosa Wines including Central Otago’s distinctive Pinot Noir. Indulge in a local artisan cheese board as you take in spectacular vistas across alpine meadows and rugged snow-capped peaks.Discover how this high-altitude area with challenging conditions has led to consistently superb wines, worldwide recognition and multiple international awards.
