Queenstown’s Easy Adventures

The cruisy side of Queenstown is never hard to find, and full of leisurely experiences packed to the max with wow-factor and fun.

QUEENSTOWN. Words cannot truly describe the scenery surrounding this quaint town. It is easily one of my favorite places in the world. The town has changed a little bit in the five years since my last visit with new upscale stores more signs in Chinese and more boating options for the lake to name a few things but the charm is still there. . We had an extra day planned during our stay in Queenstown so Amanda and I went up with the gondola to the Skyline Queenstown which offers the best views of the area. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at the top and then raced around the luge tracks a few times. . While taking in the view from the top I had noticed the golf course across the bay and decided I wanted to play it. This is significant because just last year in May 2018 I had back surgery to correct a herniated disc. It took the following eight months for me to go through physical therapy and to strengthen my back to play again. I played three rounds this spring but decided to stop after having a setback in May where I was confined to my bed due to new back pain. I wasnt going to let back pain prevent Amanda and I from going on the trip we are on now. I spent the entire summer working on my back legs and core to make sure I wouldnt have any issues traveling. . It will be hard for me to play a more beautiful course than the one at the Queenstown Golf Club. If this wouldve been my last round ever what better place than this I decided to take it easy and play the front nine and Amanda joined me. For not picking up sticks in five months I was pleased to play bogey golf AND I was able to walk just fine the next day. The hard work in the gym over the summer was all worth it -Mike
