It's easy to access most cycle trails

A number of Queenstown biking tracks start right from the town centre and take you on a scenic journey. The 122km Queenstown Trail, a network of off-road trails that cover many of Queenstown’s most picturesque locations, including Lake Wakatipu, Lake Hayes, Arrowtown and Gibbston. You can even combine a ride with a tour of Gibbston’s wineries—and score a lift back to town on a shuttle at the end of the day. What’s not to love?

You can also combine your love of riding with a trip on a vintage steam ship to pedal along part of the Around the Mountains Trail to Mavora Lakes, or go beyond the lakes and enjoy a supported multi-day track to experience some of the region’s smaller towns.

As well as fun, fast and family-friendly cycling events, Queenstown has an enviable climate (with biking available almost year-round) and superb scenic backdrops to make your biking adventure one to remember.
