Historic Eateries to Delight All Senses

Historic buildings from Queenstown’s gold rush days now house unique world-class eateries. Discover where to soaking up the area’s history while sampling delicious local food and wine.

We visited Arrowtown this week. A delightful little gold rush village below the beautiful peaks that surround the sparkling Arrow River. - Reading the plaques around town, we learned by the end of 1862 approximately 1,500 miners camped noisily beside the Arrow River. Then, in January of 1863 the first 12,000 ounces of gold were lugged out by escort. That load alone would be worth $15 million at today's prices. -#livology #queenstown #arrowtown

Sneaking in shopping is easy in Arrowtown, with compact laneways hiding quirky gift stores, art galleries, homewares, confectioners' and cafés.

I'm wheelie enjoying playing with the light in Arrowtown at the moment. Will be in the parade at the autumn festival tomorrow. Better take an umbrella by the looks of it.#nzmustdo #queenstownlive #nz #autumn #purenewzealand #arrowtown
