Specialising in both daily and private wine tours, guests are taken off the beaten track and into the heart of Central Otago wine country where they're introduced to a variety of boutique vineyards, passionate wine people and the finest of Central Otago's varietals. A memorable and educational full, half, or quarter day is available, offering the opportunity to soak up the fabulous scenery and fascinating pioneering history on offer.
All tours include complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-off, and as vineyards can change daily, special vineyard requests are welcomed.
Types of tours available:
- Daily small group wine and sightseeing tours - tasting fine wines and great local cuisine with local history, sights and wine education. Tours generally run with a maximum of 12 guests ensuring a personalised and interactive experience.
- Private, customised wine and/or sightseeing tours - Exclusive tours providing flexibility with private guide and luxury vehicle.
- Combination tours – Combine group or private wine tours with other local activities and SAVE time AND money!
DAILY TOURS
Classic Wine Tour (3.5 hours) 1:30pm - 5:00pm
- Enjoy 15 to 18 tastings at 3 wineries within the Gibbston wine region.
- Take a guided tour through New Zealand's largest wine cave.
- Savour a delicious cheeseboard at either the first or last vineyard of the tour.
- Pick up either from The Station Building Bus Stop (corner Camp Street and Shotover Streets) or from your hotel/accommodation.
- Complimentary bottled water available.
Boutique Wine Tour (5.5 hours) 11am-4:30pm
- Visit 4 vineyards in the Gibbston and Cromwell/Bannockburn wine regions. (Approximately 20 wine tastings).
- A delightful vineyard platter lunch at a vineyard restaurant in Bannockburn or Cromwell.
- Visit Old Cromwell Town (time and weather permitting).
- An education on the relevant early pioneering history while meandering through the mighty Kawarau Gorge.
- View the historic Kawarau Bridge and the original AJ Hackett Bungy
- Pick up from The Station Building Bus Stop (corner Camp Street and Shotover Streets) or from your hotel/accommodation.

Gourmet Food and Wine Tour (6.5 hours) 9:30am-4:00pm
- Visit 4 vineyards in Gibbston, Cromwell and Bannockburn. (Approximately 20 tastings)

- A tour through New Zealand's largest underground wine cave.
