There are endless opportunities for an exquisite wedding – make your aisle amongst rows of vines, set a moody, romantic scene in our Wine Cave, or Heli-ride up to an exclusive mountain location within the Gibbston Valley Station. Our range of venues provide stunning & sophisticated spaces for a variety of party sizes, from an intimate ceremony to a grand-scale celebration. 

Wine Cave
Carved deep into a mountainside and lined with more than 400 French oak barrels of aging wine, our Wine Cave will create lasting memories.

Its atmospheric ambience is popular for hosting elegant dinners, cocktail receptions and small wedding ceremonies for up to 28 guests.

Wine Vault
The Wine Vault is a spacious multipurpose venue with an abundance of natural light. The room’s elegant neutral décor is beautiful as is or can easily be themed to suit your occasion. Vaulted ceilings lend themselves well to hanging flower arrangements or lighting.

The room holds a special place in our history as it’s where Gibbston Valley founder, Alan Brady, stored some of the first barrels of Pinot Noir produced.

Suitable for up to 80 guests in this space alone plus an additional marquee attached to large opening doors, allows your event to flow into our garden courtyard. The total capacity including our courtyard is 110.

The Winery Restaurant
Our Winery Restaurant features a simple, rustic décor that radiates warmth and comfort. Suitable for up to 80 guests, this venue offers the most versatility and can include access to our lounge area, Cellar Door and courtyard with additional outdoor seating - giving your guests lots of room to mix and mingle.

For summer weddings, the courtyard area is well suited for garden games, while the Cellar Door, with its leather seating and fireplace, provides a warming ambience in winter.

Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa
The Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa is a unique and luxurious venue. Inspired by the Central Otago landscape, its soaring ceiling and locally sourced schist exterior reflect the awe-inspiring elements of the region.

The beauty of the Lodge is that along with offering premium accommodation for up to 48 guests, it also provides a range of on-site venues for both a ceremony and reception.

An exclusive buy-out of the Lodge is available to accommodate your family and friends. We have many special experiences on offer - ideal for treating your guests or indulging in during your first days of tying the knot.

Exquisite Food & Wine
Our expert Chefs will craft a wedding menu perfectly suited to your tastes. Our menus use organic and sustainably produced ingredients, grown in the Chef’s gardens or carefully selected from local artisan suppliers.

Your menu will be paired beautifully with our premium, handcrafted wines to make every ingredient sing. Our dishes are seasonal & dietary requirements can be incorporated.

Our classically styled Gibbston Valley NV Methode Traditionelle bubbles is a fabulous celebration wine for your wedding and of course, we have many other award-winning wines on offer – your guests will be spoilt for choice. We also serve a selection of beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
