Lake Dunstan Trail Return Trip ex Queenstown

The Dunstan trail is the newest jewel in the crown of Central Otago trail rides. You start riding from the Cromwell Heritage Precinct and ride about 40 km of jaw dropping scenery and engineering to finish in beautiful historic Clyde. There are a couple of great cafes/pubs to choose in Clyde for your well earned refreshments before heading back to Queenstown.

Please note this trip is completely private for up to 4 people. You travel in comfort in a  4WD vehicle and your bikes will be well looked after. If you are renting bikes we can help you with that too. 

This trip is not guided on the trail. We take care of the transport and logistics and bike rental if required. As a bonus we offer an optional 30-60 minute bike skills session near the start with focus on improving basic skills and safety. The Dunstan Trail is graded 1-2 so relatively easy but still with some challenging climbs and a little narrow in places. You need to have some fitness and bike skills to ride this trail.

Return trip from Queenstown includes transport and plenty of time for cafes, wineries and pubs. The whole trip takes about 6 hours.
