Our People, Our Home

Huw, Packrafting Queenstown

After years leading expeditions around the world, Huw Miles found something different in Queenstown.

Here, he built Packrafting Queenstown around a deeper idea of adventure: one that connects people to place, brings guides together like family, and encourages everyone to care for the wild spaces they explore.

Antony, Air Milford

For Queenstown-born pilot Antony Sproull, flying is part of the family story.
Through Air Milford, Antony carries on a three-generation aviation legacy shaped by family, hospitality and a deep love for the place he calls home.

For him, the freedom of flying is about more than the view. It’s the privilege of showing people the beauty of his own backyard, from familiar peaks to the remote corners of the South Island.

Jenny, Arrowtown Artist

For Jenny Mehrtens, art is a way to send something positive out into the world.

Working from her Arrowtown studio, Jenny creates richly textured pieces inspired by nature, child-like curiosity and the history of this region. Through the visitors she meets and the stories they take home, her work has become part of memories far beyond Queenstown.

Judy & John, Outside Sports

John and Judy Knight came to Queenstown with a love of the outdoors and a dream of building a life here.

More than 30 years later, Outside Sports has grown into a multi-generational business shaped by family, loyal staff, long-standing customers and a deep commitment to the local outdoor community.
