Travel Insurance
Destination Queenstown expects that you obtain appropriate insurance to cover risks related to injury, illness, delays, cancellations in the course of your travel, damage to the property of others, and loss of or damage to your own property, including personal belongings you may have with you. If you choose to not have any cover this is at your own risk.
If you haven’t arranged insurance yet, by signing this form you are declaring that you understand that travel insurance is a requirement for international travellers to participate in this famil/activity (and is recommended but not mandatory for domestic travellers) and that you will arrange for this travel insurance before you depart your home country or region.
It is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance that includes cover for COVID-19 related expenses. All participants must understand and accept the circumstances in which you travel under and the associated risks. Destination Queenstown does not take responsibility or assume any liability for COVID-19 related disruptions or expenses.
COVID-19
It is important you understand and accept the circumstances in which you travel and the associated risks. Destination Queenstown does not take responsibility and is not liable for any pandemic-related travel disruptions.
Travel is not guaranteed and is subject to change at short notice, participants travel at their own risk and must be prepared for changes before, during and after their activity/travel. You should also be prepared for safe travel zones status of a state or region to change at short notice. In the event of a government-imposed restriction which causes disruption to your scheduled travel, Destination Queenstown will work with you to adhere to government guidance and this may mean a change to the planned itinerary.
Destination Queenstown does not cover any associated costs if you are required to quarantine in your home region, this cost is at the expense of the participant and/or their organisation. Destination Queenstown does not cover any medical costs for participants, you should have adequate travel insurance in place.
Vaccinations and Medication
Destination Queenstown strongly recommends that you make sure your vaccinations are up to date before you travel and this includes vaccination for measles and COVID-19 (if this is available to you). Please contact a general practitioner or travel medical practitioner well in advance of your travel.
For international travellers: doctor's prescriptions are needed to obtain certain drugs in New Zealand. Visitors bringing in a quantity of medication are also advised to carry a doctor's certificate to avoid possible problems with New Zealand Customs.
Release of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, you irrevocably and unconditionally release and discharge Destination Queenstown from any claim or cause of action (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) that you may have against Destination Queenstown, and from any liability that may be owed by Destination Queenstown to you, in either case in respect of any loss, damage, death, delay, expense, legal costs, reparation payment, exemplary damages (regardless of Destination Queenstown’s conduct), illness or injury suffered or incurred by you arising out of or in connection with or relating to the famil/activity (each a “claim”), including without limitation any claim arising out of or in connection with:
- any matters over which Destination Queenstown has no control including, without limitation, war or threat of war, riots, and civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disaster, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, industrial disputes, government action, reasonable apprehension of the foregoing, cancellation, curtailment or rescheduling of flights;
- acts or omissions of Destination Queenstown or any of its employees, agents or contractors;
- acts or omissions of any of the tourism service providers or their employees, agents or contractors involved in the provision of tourism services during the famil;
- the organisation, conduct or content of the famil including the provision or cancellation of the famil or any part of it;
- any representations, express or implied, of Destination Queenstown or its employees, agents or contractors including, without limitation, tourism service providers
To the extent permitted by law, you hereby indemnify and agree to keep Destination Queenstown fully and effectively indemnified from and against any loss, damage, claim, proceeding, liability, cost, or expense suffered or incurred by Destination Queenstown arising out of or in connection with your involvement in the famil (other than Destination Queenstown’s ordinary and expected costs of hosting, organising, and managing the famil generally).
Famil Media and Publicity Release
By entering the famil/activity, you (the participant) consents:
- to be interviewed and photographed and agrees to be available for other public relations and promotional activities associated with the famil, as requested by Destination Queenstown;
- to his or her name, photograph and likeness being recorded, reproduced, published, copied, communicated and otherwise used by Destination Queenstown or any third party travel media organisation for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes on the Internet, in any television program, video recording, or printed or electronic materials throughout the world, in perpetuity, and without the need for any compensation.
Terms and Conditions: Talent and Photoshoots
Release of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, you (the Artist) irrevocably and unconditionally release and discharge Destination Queenstown from any claim or cause of action (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) that you may have against Destination Queenstown, and from any liability that may be owed by Destination Queenstown to you, in either case in respect of any loss, damage, death, delay, expense, legal costs, reparation payment, exemplary damages (regardless of Destination Queenstown’s conduct), illness or injury suffered or incurred by you arising out of or in connection with or relating to the activity (each a “claim”), including without limitation any claim arising out of or in connection with:
- any matters over which Destination Queenstown has no control including, without limitation, war or threat of war, riots, and civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disaster, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, industrial disputes, government action, reasonable apprehension of the foregoing, cancellation, curtailment or rescheduling of flights;
- acts or omissions of Destination Queenstown or any of its employees, agents or contractors;
- acts or omissions of any of the tourism service providers or their employees, agents or contractors involved in the provision of tourism services during the activity;
- the organisation, conduct or content of the activity including the provision or cancellation of the activity or any part of it;
- any representations, express or implied, of Destination Queenstown or its employees, agents or contractors including, without limitation, tourism service providers
To the extent permitted by law, you hereby indemnify and agree to keep Destination Queenstown fully and effectively indemnified from and against any loss, damage, claim, proceeding, liability, cost, or expense suffered or incurred by Destination Queenstown arising out of or in connection with your involvement in the activity (other than Destination Queenstown’s ordinary and expected costs of hosting, organising, and managing the activity generally).
Conditions of Use
You (the Artist) hereby consent to provide the Production Company (Destination Queenstown) or its assigns the services upon the conditions set out below:
Type of Services to be rendered by the Artist: Visual talent
You acknowledge and confirm on behalf of the Artist, that you warrant and represent that you are free to enter into this agreement and, in particular, that you give your permission to appear in the proposed photography and for your likeness to be used as set out below.
All services from the Artist will be specifically used for:
- Online purposes including, but not limited to, Destination Queenstown websites, social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and digital display
- PR (Public Relations) purposes including, but not limited to, third party websites and public interest stories across written and visual mediums such as news/magazine publications, public interest television stories and online
- Other advertising purposes including, but not limited to, paid television ads or out of home billboards
Period of Use: Perpetual
