Cogo Vistr Carbon Measurement Tool

Fully subsidised by Destination Queenstown and Lake Wānaka Tourism, for members, the Cogo Vistr Carbon Measurement Tool (the tool) is a time-efficient solution, providing businesses with real-time insights into their carbon footprint - empowering you to track, manage, and reduce emissions with ease.

Cogo’s underlying technology analyses financial transactions and automatically categorises spending across various industries. Each transaction is linked to an emissions factor specific to the industry and Cogo converts that transaction into a carbon emissions estimate. Businesses can track their carbon footprint in real-time, and receive insights and recommended actions tailored to your business's emissions profile and industry.

Already counting your carbon?

Contribute to the district picture by providing your business's carbon footprint. This is completely anonymous and the data provided will be aggregated into the total district-wide, tourism industry carbon footprint.

Electrifying Your Business

Reducing carbon emissions often starts with electrification - replacing fossil fuel use with clean electricity. For tourism businesses, this could mean switching to electric vehicles, efficient electric heating, or induction cooking. Electrification is one of the most practical steps you can take to lower your emissions and future-proof your operations.

To help you get started, we’ve created the simple guide below.
