SNOW REPORT - 17 SEPTEMBER 2025
We're back with the final weekly Queenstown / Wānaka Snow Report for the season.
The mountains are pulling out all the stops for some upcoming legendary events. The Remarkables kicks off their 40th birthday celebrations with a Spring Carnival running from Friday 26 - Sunday 28 September. Meanwhile, Cardrona are hosting the Mini Pipe World Champs alongside a family-fun day this Saturday, and Coronet Peak is gearing up for the iconic Red Bull Homerun and MTB on snow champs on Saturday 27 September. Treble Cone has their closing day next Sunday 28 September, so dust off your retro gear and join in on the fun.
We are seeing some warm spring conditions across the region, and temperatures are dropping this evening with fresh snow forecasted on the ski fields overnight.
Don't forget the Queenstown/Wānaka mountains are scheduled to stay open until late September/mid-October, so make the most of this epic spring season.

SNOW REPORT - 10 SEPTEMBER 2025
We're back with this week's Queenstown & Wānaka Weekly Snow Report. September is absolutely delivering the goods across our region. Queenstown and Wānaka resorts are loaded right now, with more storms on the way and sunshine forecast for the end of the week.
Cardrona has received 30cm over the past 7 days with windswept off-piste conditions across the entire mountain, plus the epic Jossi Wells Invitational Big Air kicking off this week. The Remarkables is absolutely firing after 37cm of recent snowfall with the Alta Chutes in their prime and the Spring Carnival celebrating their 40th birthday coming up September 26th-28th. Treble Cone has enjoyed 41cm over the past week with cold temperatures keeping conditions great, plus their annual Green Steam event this Saturday. Coronet Peak has stellar coverage, and has Snow Machine Festival happening until Saturday. Tonight's low pressure system should deliver 5-10cm of light, dry snow before clear skies return Thursday through Saturday, with more snow possible Sunday and Monday. ⛷️

Welcome back to the weekly Queenstown / Wānaka Weekly Snow Reports.
The snow gods have heard us this spring and delivered the best snow of the season, with more on the way.
Snow Farm is looking fresh after 15cm snowfall, Treble Cone has received 45cm of new snow with some of the best powder days of the season, The Remarkables has wind-loaded stashes waiting to be discovered, Cardrona's received 25cm opening up masses of new terrain at SOHO and Captains, and Coronet Peak's Greengates and Exchange are delivering after their own 15cm dump. Don't forget - Friday is your last chance for night ski at Coronet Peak this season!

Welcome back to the weekly Queenstown / Wānaka Weekly Snow Reports. 🗻❄️
This week has delivered nothing but bluebird days and epic snow conditions across the region.
The Remarkables has great snow in Sugar Basin, while Cardrona has superb conditions with Soho laps delivering the goods. Snow Farm is hosting the Merino Muster’s 30th anniversary cross-country ski race on Saturday and Treble Cone is gearing up for the NZ Junior Freeride World Tour this weekend. Adding to the on-mountain fun, Coronet Peak has the legendary Red Bull Homerun event on 6 September.

We're back with the weekly Queenstown / Wānaka Snow Reports. 🗻❄️
Those snow dances paid off with up to 20cm of fresh snow blanketing the ski fields across the region.
Cardrona is set for glorious bluebirds and hot laps after yesterday's snowstorm. Coronet Peak is in primo condition across the mountain with plenty of freshies to carve up. Treble Cone is riding well with the classic wind-blown stashes in the gullies. The Remarkables has plenty of fresh powder pockets waiting for your arrival. Snow Farm also received a decent dump and have freshly groomed classic tracks on Highlander and Merino Glen.
Winter Pride has lots of on-mountain events this week so make sure you get involved in all the fun!

SNOW REPORT - 13 AUGUST 2025
Welcome back to the Queenstown & Wānaka Weekly Snow Report ⛷️
What a cracker of a week ahead! After up to 15cm of fresh pow over the weekend, we're now into cold, clear bluebird days until the next storm rolls in on Saturday.
Coronet Peak's serving up beautiful corduroy for First Tracks, Cardrona's SOHO Express is open, The Remarkables' Alta Chutes are skiing brilliantly ahead of Saturday's FIS ANC Slopestyle, and Treble Cone got topped up with freshies top to bottom, and is looking mint for the Backcountry Invitational - keep your eyes peeled for their date announcement.
With Winter Pride Week kicking off Friday with on-mountain events from Saturday, bluebird skies, and another storm coming in at the end of the week, the mountains are absolutely firing right now.

Cardrona's set for an epic week of carving with cold temperatures and snow in the forecast. Don’t miss Coronet Peak's 51st Dog Derby this Saturday as it's guaranteed to be paw-some viewing!

SNOW REPORT - 30 JULY 2025
Welcome back to the Queenstown/Wānaka Weekly Snow Reports.
Event season is here with the Adaptive Snow Festival at Cardrona kicking things off for August, followed by the Coronet Peak Dog Derby, Winter Pride Week, and Merino Muster at Snow Farm. Looking ahead to September, the Jossi Wells Invitational brings jaw-dropping talent to Cardrona, along with the Snow Machine music festival and The Remarkables 40th birthday Spring Carnival.
Over to the mountains - Coronet Peak has night skiing tonight and First Tracks from 8am daily. Treble Cone is likely to receive up to 20cm from this storm if freezing levels allow, The Remarkables Alta chutes are serving up chalky snow, and Cardrona park crew have jumps and rails in pristine condition. And après? Well it's never a bad day for après.
This storm should deliver lovely snow at higher elevations, with bluebird conditions forecast for Friday ⛷️

SNOW REPORT - 23 JULY 2025
It's Wednesday which means another week of Queenstown / Wānaka Snow Reports. 🗻❄️
The Remarkables have been making the most of these cold nights with snow making creating decent on-piste conditions, perfect for hot laps before chilling out at the Ice Bar. The biggest night of the season is here for Coronet Peak with PEKING DUK laying down a free show on the deck tonight, so grab your mates and get ready for an epic evening. Treble Cone has dry, grippy snow in the Home Basin and epic off-piste conditions on the upper mountain thanks to low humidity. Cardrona is looking spectacular with great snow and bluebird weather ahead of this weekend’s Ngā Wāhine ō te Maunga event – an all women’s event encouraging progression across all riding abilities. Make sure you jump on their free shuttle from the Pine Trees Car Park, running from 8am daily.

Welcome back to the Queenstown/Wānaka Weekly Snow Reports. ❄️
Cardrona has all terrain parks open and accessible from both the T-Bar and White Star. The Remarkables is riding well with smooth groomers, side-hits and all 3 terrain parks in action. Treble Cone has wind-blown powder pockets of up to 30cm this week - word around town is The Saddle is where you want to be. Snow Farm's Snow Fun Zone has tubing and snow play that is perfect for little ones. Coronet Peak has First Tracks from 8am, and don't miss the free Peking Duk concert next Wednesday 23rd July!
Thought about heli skiing this winter? Riders are loving the conditions with epic snow on some seriously unique terrain.
There’s light snow top-ups all round on Thursday and Friday, before sunny skies return next week. ⛷️

Welcome back to the Queenstown/Wānaka Weekly Snow Reports. 🗻❄️
Coronet Peak has all lifts spinning with an après ski party this Saturday 12 July at Heidi's Hut, and Cardrona Alpine Resort has opened Soho Express, making it the largest ski field in New Zealand. The Remarkables has all their jump lines open with a few fresh features into Castaway Park ahead of this weekend’s Mini Shred competition. Treble Cone is riding well with Home Basin Express, Saddle Basin Quad and Nice 'n' Easy Platter all open for business. The Heli-ski season launched last week with awesome winter conditions for this time of year. Don’t forget about the Snow Fun Zone at Snow Farm where there’s tubing fun and snow play for everyone.
With snow showers forecasted for Friday, it's shaping up to be an epic last weekend of the school holidays. ⛷️

We're back with the weekly Queenstown / Wānaka Snow Reports.
30 cm of snow from the storm last weekend has transformed the slopes, with more terrain opening up, right on time for the school holidays!
Treble Cone celebrated its opening weekend in style and with plenty of snow - Home Basin and The Saddle are open for epic top-to-bottom skiing. The Remarkables is firing with all lifts spinning, including Shadow Basin and Alta Chutes. Captains, Whitestar and the new T-bar are riding beautifully at Cardrona, and the brand-new SOHO Express chairlift will be up and running as soon as conditions allow. Coronet Peak has been completely transformed with everything open, including Rocky Gully T-Bar and Greengates, plus night skiing until 9pm every Wednesday, Friday, and the next 3 Saturday nights. Don't miss Kids Day Out with face painting this Saturday. Snow Farm in Cardrona Valley is perfect for those wanting to try cross-country skiing.
With 5-10cm expected Thursday night before settled weather returns for the weekend, it's time to get up there and make the most of these incredible conditions!

SNOW REPORT - 25 JUNE 2025
We're back with the weekly Queenstown / Wānaka Snow Reports!
Conditions are looking prime at The Remarkables with Sugar chairlift spinning and the beginner box line complete in the terrain park. Treble Cone and Snow Farm are opening from this Friday. Cardrona has McDougall’s, Whitestar Express and a range of terrain parks open. They’re getting ready for a big weekend of live action and tunes with the Welcome to Winter festival this Saturday - and maybe even first laps in 150ha of fresh terrain in Soho Basin. Coronet Peak are gearing up for night skiing this Friday, and First Tracks from Monday – so head up there at 8am for coffee and fresh cord.
With temps expected to drop over the coming days and snow in the forecast for this weekend, now’s the time for snow dances.
SNOW REPORT - 18 JUNE 2025
Kicking off the first report, Cardrona, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables all opened this weekend with proper winter conditions. We're talking corduroy laps, terrain park features and bluebird conditions.
Big things are happening at Cardrona - McDougall’s, McPark, a new base building are all open, plus there will be a whopping 150ha additional terrain to explore once the new Soho Express chairlift starts spinning. The vibes were high at The Remarkables with the Kick Off rail jam and great on-piste riding, while Coronet Peak's reporting their best start to winter in 4 years - not to mention their pop-up night ski TONIGHT! Snow Farm and Treble Cone join the party on Friday 27 June, and with up to 17cm of snow in the forecast for Treble Cone in the next week, it’s looking like a solid start to the season.
