Just like that, it’s time to wrap up our weekly Mountainwatch snow forecasts. However the season doesn’t stop here, the ski fields are open until mid-October and spring is one of our favourite times to hit the slopes! We are so lucky to be able to ride again, and the amazing staff across the mountains have done an outstanding job to quickly adopt the latest COVID-19 safety protocols so remember to be kind.

Snow Report - 11 August
Welcome back to your weekly Mountainwatch snow report, keeping you updated with everything happening across the Queenstown and Lake Wanaka mountains.
We’re seeing excellent riding conditions all over with a combination of clear skies and snowfalls, a further dump of between 10-20cm is predicted for Thursday. On the event front, Coronet Peak is the place to be this Saturday for their 47th Annual Dog Derby!

The latest snow report from Mountainwatch is here to keep you updated on what's happening in Queenstown and Lake Wanaka. This week we’re celebrating pristine riding conditions around the region, further openings including access to some of the Alta shoots up The Remarkables and Heidi’s Hut at Coronet Peak. The celebrations continue because we’re expecting another 10-25cm of snow with this next storm rolling through on Friday.

Here’s the latest snow forecast from Mountainwatch, coming to you from The Remarkables which received 15cm of fresh snow last night!
Winter is in full swing with more snow falling overnight, and the good news doesn’t stop there as a further 25cm is predicted from this next storm.

Mother Nature delivered the goods this week seeing some great snowfall over the last 48 hours with up to 35cms at Coronet Peak & The Remarkables. There’s loads on this week with the first night ski of the season happening tonight at Coronet Peak and the Welcome to Winter event from 2 – 4 July, so get ready to get amongst it!
