Snow Report – 3 September 2019
What a week it has been across the Southern Lakes and we've got another great week ahead. Here’s the Mountainwatch low down on what’s happening across our mountains in Queenstown and Wanaka this week - it’s going to be a ripper!
The Remarkables have just had their North Face Frontier 2 Star Event and the 4 Star event is this week as well as the annual Burton Stash Gathering.
Coronet Peak are holding the National Junior Alpine champs, Treble Cone has the Banks Slalom Snowboarding competition and there’s plenty of action at Cardrona with freestyle skiing and snowboarding events and the FIS world cup skiing half pipe event.

It’s a great time to be on the mountain this week with the annual Winter Games NZ in full swing and Winter Pride festival kicking off this Friday. Coronet Peak is holding its final night ski party for the season, with headliner Sons of Zion.

There’s loads happening this week from the first of The Remarks Parks Slopestyle series kicking off this Saturday 27 July, The Hilltop Hoods are headlining the Elevate night ski party at Coronet Peak this Friday, Heidi’s Hut is now open, and more park terrain is now open at Cardrona.

Here’s our latest snow report for Mountainwatch, covering everything happening in Queenstown and Wanaka. It’s the final week of the NZ and NSW school holidays and there’s plenty of on-mountain events for all ages across Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Cardrona. On-piste and off-piste terrain is now open at Treble Cone, we’ve had some more snow and it looks like there’s more to come!

Here’s our latest Mountainwatch update covering everything happening across Queenstown and Lake Wanaka. We've seen very cold temperatures over the last week which has meant the snowmakers have been cranking. Resorts are opening more terrain, the heli-ski season has kicked off and the good news is there is natural snow on the way!
