Arrowtown is a foodie paradise, packed with delicious places to eat and drink. Here are our favourite places to get your Arrowtown breakfast on.

Dishery

Dudley's Cottage Precinct, 4 Buckingham Street, Arrowtown

Right next to the lush beauty of the Arrow River Reserve, Dishery has a spacious outdoor seating area under their historic magnolia tree, as well as tables indoors in an airy space flooded with light from floor to ceiling windows.

They serve an all-day menu for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Menu highlights includes the Turkish eggs with BBQ ciabatta, gooey eggs, black garlic labneh and Aleppo pepper butter, or the Village Benedict with poached eggs, kombu hollandaise and coral tooth mushrooms. If sweet is more your taste buds, the Matcha French toast is an attractive option with a bakery brioche slab, Tongan vanilla, caramel, mascarpone, berry coulis and hazelnut hokey pokey.

Adventurous brunchers choose offerings from their wood fired grill, for a succulent Ohau wagyu beef burger or bbq free range chicken. It's an all day dining destination with a dreamy cocktail list and DJs setting the tone most weekends.

Provisions of Arrowtown

65 Buckingham Street, Arrowtown 9302

This buzzy little café is set in a historic miner's cottage in the heart of the village. It’s a favourite with locals and visitors alike. On a sunny day, head through to the tables in the cottage garden where you can sit under fruit trees laden with blossom in spring and fruit in late summer.

Their all-day menu is full of brunch classics like eggs benedict and brioche French toast. We’re a huge fan of their breakfast bap, which is packed with good things and makes a fantastic filler before a day shredding the slopes. Their sticky buns are delightful, people make pilgrimages to Arrowtown just to snag one for morning tea, so get in early!

A restaurant in a historic cottage a short drive from Arrowtown towards Lake Hayes. Book a table for breakfast and enjoy goodies like smoked salmon hash cake, coconut cinnamon porridge with poached quince, and a big breakfast boasting apple cider sausages and maple bacon. Seriously tasty.

The cottage doubles as the cellar door for Mora Wines, so after brunch pick up a tasting flight and enjoy an alfresco wine tasting in the beautiful gardens.

A beautiful spot to indulge in a brunch with a delicious spread on the menu or from the cabinet. Local favourites include the Turkish eggs and the stacked breakfast burger.

Postmaster’s Kitchen + Bar

54 Buckingham Street, Arrowtown

Another charming eatery in one of Arrowtown’s picturesque historic cottages. Postmaster’s Kitchen + Bar has the works, with a horse-hitching post, white picket fence, log fire, and wisteria looping around the veranda.

Breakfast choices range from their tasty homemade banana bread to a breakfast crumble with apple and blackberry, and that great Kiwi brunch classic, mince on toast.
