Walter Peak Scenic Flight and Steamship Cruise
$159 - $199 NZD
Book NowThis trip combines a 20 minute scenic flight around Queenstown across to Walter Peak High Country Station including a farm tour, and then a return cruise aboard the iconic TSS Earnslaw. Launched in 1912, this century-old vessel is the southern hemisphere’s only passenger carrying coal-fired steamship.
Before boarding your aircraft, your pilot will give a pre-flight briefing, and after departing Queenstown, offer a full commentary as you journey to Walter Peak in comfortable leather seats with uninterrupted views out either side of the aircraft. Take in the impressive views and vistas of Queenstown and the surrounds including the dramatic scenery of Remarkables mountain range, Coronet Peak Ski Area, historic Skippers Canyon and the townships of Arrowtown and Queenstown. Other iconic sights include the Skyline Gondola and Lake Wakatipu, before landing at the Walter Peak airstrip. Then join an interactive farm tour of a working high country station and enjoy afternoon tea, before boarding the TSS Earnslaw for the 40 minute return cruise from Walter Peak to Queenstown. There is an option to add on a BBQ Lunch at Walter Peak before your return cruise to Queenstown.
